Suggested January 2024 10 Solutions To Fix The Predictive Emoji Keyboard Not Working On Iphone
The keyboard of your iPhone or iPad has a useful feature that suggests emojis as you type. As part of the Predictive text feature, and based on your past conversations and writing style, the keyboard will suggest emojis that match the words you are typing in the predictive input field right above the keyboard.
For example, when you type the word pizza, the Predictive feature will show the pizza emoji. At that point, you can tap that emoji to add it to your conversation. This is a great feature that makes using emojis much easier.
But it doesn’t always work as expected and in some instances, might not even work at all. If the emoji prediction of your iPhone or iPad keyboard is not working for you, I’m going to show you how to fix that.
My keyboard isn’t offering emoji suggestions! Why?
Since upgrading to my new iPhone, I noticed that I hadn’t seen any emoji prediction in any of the apps I use. After thinking a bit about it, I came up with the reason why. And most importantly, the fixes for it.
To understand the cause of the issue, you must first understand how the Predictive feature works.
The Predictive feature learns from your typing habits and writing style. If you’re a very formal person, it will make formal suggestions. If you’re more of a laid-back person, the text predictions might be a little more laid back in its text suggestions too. And if you haven’t really used emojis inside an app, the Predictive keyboard might not offer any emoji suggestions thinking you’re not an emoji kind of person. This is the real trick, I believe.
How to fix predictive emoji not working on iPhone or iPad
Follow these solutions to ensure emoji predictions appear at the top of your iPhone keyboard as you type.
1. Make sure you’re using Apple’s keyboard
Are you using SwiftKey, GBoard, Grammarly, or one of the other third-party keyboards on your iPhone? If yes, you won’t see the emoji predictions (unless that keyboard app has built-in support for this feature).
Follow these steps to switch to Apple’s keyboard on your iPhone and iPad:
Open Settings and tap General.
Tap Add New Keyboard and pick one of the keyboards, except those listed under Third-Party Keyboards.
Now, open Messages, Notes, or other such app and type the word pizza. You should see the pizza emoji suggestion at the top of the keyboard. This indicates the feature is working, and now you should have no trouble even with other words.
2. Emoji predictions may not be available in all languages
While you get emoji predictions in the English keyboard, the same can’t be said about keyboards from other (not very popular) languages. Plus, even in a keyboard that suggests emojis, if you misspell or type the equivalent of a word in a different language, it may not show the emoji suggestion. For example, let us assume Pizza is called Puzzu in a language you speak. Now, if you type Puzzu using the English keyboard on your iPhone, it obviously won’t show the emoji prediction.
3. Add the emoji keyboard
Emoji predictions will appear at the top of your keyboard while typing only if the Emoji keyboard is added to the list of keyboards on your iPhone. Here’s how to do that:
If you don’t see the Emoji keyboard here, tap Add New Keyboard, search for Emoji, and add it.
4. Enable Predictive text
Once you have added the Emoji keyboard, go back to the previous screen and make sure the toggle for Predictive is enabled.
Note: You may not see the Predictive toggle for all keyboard languages.
5. Restart your iPhone
Sometimes, emoji predictions may not work due to temporary glitches, which can be easily fixed by simply turning off your iPhone and turning it back on.
6. Reconfigure apps to predict emoji
In order to get emoji suggestions in the Predictive keyboard again, you need to teach the keyboard that you like to use emojis. Fortunately, it doesn’t take much.
Start typing a random sentence. What you type doesn’t really matter at all.
Bring up the emoji keyboard, and start typing a bunch of emojis. Again, it doesn’t matter what emoji you are using. Simply enter a dozen or so emojis.
Delete the emojis you just typed, and as a test, type the word pizza. The keyboard should suggest the pizza emoji.
In my experience, I have had to repeat the process with all applications I want to use emoji in, including Messages, Mail, Tweetbot, Slack, etc. It’s a pain, but at least it’s quick to fix.
Next time you’re into an application that doesn’t offer any emoji suggestions, try that trick and see if it makes a difference.
7. Delete and re-add the emoji keyboard
Still not seeing the emoji predictions while typing on your iPhone or iPad? Follow these steps to remove and re-add the emoji keyboard:
Swipe left on Emoji and tap Delete.
Restart your iPhone.
9. Reset your keyboard dictionary
In case the problem continues, follow these steps to reset your iPhone’s keyboard dictionary:
Open Settings and tap General.
Once that’s done, the predictive emoji keyboard not working on iPhone should be a thing of the past.
10. Reset all iPhone settings
At last, if nothing works, go ahead and reset all iPhone settings. This will ensure that all the settings you have ever changed or added are erased and restored to the default state. Doing so is a reliable solution to fix several such problems on your iPhone and iPad.

It’s pretty impossible to complete your daily task if your keyboard is unresponsive. For mac users, a misbehaving apple keyboard causes a whole lot of problems, mainly because there are not many alternatives available.
Usually, an apple keyboard malfunctions due to a corrupted keyboard preference file. Either that, or it might be just a simple case of misconnection. Nevertheless, a suitable settings configuration generally gets the Apple keyboard working at its best.
So, here in this article, we have made a list of all the fixes and workarounds to help you solve this issue of your faulty Apple keyboard.
Misconnection
A dead keyboard battery

Corrupted SMC data
Dirty keyboard
Outdated OS
Restarting your computer and also your keyboard should be the first action you take whenever it malfunctions. Usually, rebooting the system can fix these minor computing issues by reallocating resources during startup.
And if this doesn’t work, you can follow all the steps listed below until one of them solves your problem.
Before you dive into more technical fixes, it’s important to ensure that your cables are connected properly and in the right port. Also, if you always connect your keyboard to the same port on your computer, try switching the port and see what happens. If you find that your keyboard works on one port and not on the other, the problem might be within the ports.
And, if you use a wireless keyboard, make sure that it’s paired correctly to the system. Moreover, try to unpair it and re-pair it with your computer. For this,
Another reason your keyboard is not working might be because it’s out of battery life. This applies mainly to iMac users who use the wireless magic keyboard. If you have not plugged in your keyboard for a while now, we recommend you to do so and charge it.
However, there is a way to check the battery level of your keyboard, and here’s how:
If you have the mouse keys option enabled on your system, your keyboard will not be able to comply with its default workflow. The mouse keys feature lets you move the cursor around the screen using your keyboard buttons. So naturally, this disables the keyboard from typing.
Hence, to avoid unwanted confusion, it’s best to disable the mouse keys option and see if it fixes your problem. For this,
Your keyboard’s properties files store your user settings and customized keyboard options. It also stores individual profiles and other appropriate data in XML format.
However, the properties files are known to get corrupted as well. And in such a case, deleting these files can fix your problem. But keep in mind that doing so will delete all your custom settings, including the shortcut you might have set or the keyboard layout you’re familiar with. Nevertheless,

So, through various forums, we came to the conclusion that backtracking and deleting recently installed applications could fix your malfunctioning keyboard issue. For this,
More often than not, specks of dirt and greases inside the keyboard prevent it from working efficiently. The key presses might fail to register, and the keyboard might fail to be recognized altogether. And if that’s the case, the only thing you can do is clean the keyboard.
For this, you can use compressed air to clean off the dirt from tight spaces. Then, wiping the keys with a piece of microfibre cloth damped in Isopropyl Alcohol (70%) should do the trick. However, we do have a dedicated article on cleaning the keyboard keys. So, if you want to, you could check it out as well.
The SMC (System Management Controller) makes sure your hardware components are working as intended. So, whenever you have hardware issues on your computer, you could reset the SMC, as it’ll very likely fix the problem you’re facing.
As for keyboards, the SMC makes sure that the keyboard keys are registered, and the indicator lights illuminate as you want them to. So, to reset the SMC,

These patches could be the key to getting your keyboard working at its full capacity. So, to update your system,
7 Ways To Fix Wifi Calling Not Working On Iphone
Fix WiFi Calling Not Working on iPhone Check WiFi calling support
If you are an iPhone user and want to use the WiFi calling feature, you should be using an iPhone 5c or later model. Also, your iPhone should be running on at least iOS 11.2 to support WiFi calling. So please update your iPhone to the latest OS version available.
Here is the full list of iPhones supporting WiFi calling in India on Airtel’s network. In India, apart from Airtel, Jio also supports this feature, and Vi (formerly Vodafone and Idea) has also rolled out the feature for iPhone users.
Once you verify all these things for your iPhone and carrier, and they do support WiFi calling, you can try other fixes mentioned below.
Restart your iPhoneThe first thing and probably the most basic fix you can try is to restart your iPhone. You should restart your iPhone as well as your WiFi router and then try making a WiFi call. Hopefully, this will fix the issue.
Apart from this, you can also try enabling and then disabling the Airplane mode. This will turn off all the network connections including the cellular and WiFi and then restarts them again. This can also fix problems with Wi-Fi calling sometimes.
Turn On/Off WiFi CallingSometimes, you forget to check but the WiFi calling feature on your iPhone is not enabled. To be noted, it is not enabled by default. You can enable it from settings, here’s how:
1. Go to Settings on your iPhone.
3. Now, enable the toggle next to Wi-Fi calling.
4. Confirm by tapping on the toggle next to WiFi Calling on This iPhone.
5. Tap Enable on the pop-up.
Disable LTESince this feature only relies on WiFi networks and not on cellular networks, you should try turning off the LTE service on your iPhone. This will force your iPhone to use a Wi-Fi network for making calls. Here’s how to disable LTE:
1. Go to Settings on your iPhone.
2. Select Mobile Data and then Mobile data options.
If this feature is not available on your network, you can simply turn off the mobile data.
Also, don’t forget to enable this service again, because you won’t be able to use mobile data and calls via mobile network unless this is enabled.
Check Carrier Settings UpgradeSometimes network operators release new updates to upgrade their network for improved connectivity. If your network provider has just started rolling out Wi-Fi calling, you should check if you have received a carrier settings update on your iPhone. Here’s how:
2. Tap on General and select About at the top.
Here, you’ll see a notification pop-up if any new updates are available.
Reset Network SettingsLastly, if none of these fixes work, you can reset network settings on your iPhone. You will not lose any data and only Wi-Fi passwords, paired devices, etc will be cleared. Here’s how to reset network settings:
2. Tap on General and select Reset.
3. Now tap on Reset network settings.
