Where is the “Clues and Riddles” quest set at?
The “Clues and Riddles” quest is set at Glowecestrescire after you pledge your loyalties to Glowecestrescire at the Alliance Map chapter in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. This is the second quest you will have to get past in the “A Tale of Wicker-Fire” saga in the game.
How do you get there?
You can get to the “Clues and Riddles” quest after you finish the first quest “The First Night of Samhain” at Glowecestrescire in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Objectives to pass in “Clues and Riddles” quest
When the “Clues and Riddles” quest begins, Eivor will wake up from his bed in Tewdwr’s house in a drunken state. Don’t expect a very goodly morning as Tewdwr’s dwelling will now be drenched in blood and your quest will start from here.
Investigate Tewdwr’s Home
When you wake up at Tewdwr’s house, you will see there’s blood everywhere inside his home and your job is to investigate this place and find out what happened the previous night. As you normally would, you will have to look for clues inside the house.
You can use Odin’s vision to find these clues easily which will appear on your screen as teal-colored spots. At first glance, you can examine the following subjects at Tewdwr’s Home:
A dead body at Tewdwr’s house; it’s his bodyguard
A broken pot should be lying on the ground next to the table
Next to the door, there are bloodstains on the ground
After you examine these three subjects, you can find more clues in a second room. This second room can be accessed by moving the shelf at the end of the first room which should reveal a secret entrance.
Pass through this entrance and look for more clues in the second room like:
Muddy footprints on the floor
Break the pot in this room to find a small pouch (Gwilim’s pouch) on the ground
After you examine all the above clues, exit Tewdwr’s house, and when the cutscene begins, Eivor will figure out what had happened there last night.
He puts together that there were murderers in Tewdwr’s house who hid in the second room, waited to kill the bodyguard, and then proceeded to injure Tewdwr. One thing that puzzles Eivor is why Gwilim’s pouch of herbs was found inside a pot when it should have been on the table.
When the cutscene ends, you will be shown a new objective.
Find Modron and talk to her
After you have examined all the subjects at Tewdwr’s house, you will be given a new objective. Here, you will have to find and speak to Mother Modron who works as a healer near the river that separates the two parts of Glowecestre.
But before you do that, you will find Cynon waiting outside and will blame Tewdwr’s disappearance on Eivor.
Cynon will then make you fight the two nearby guards that he sets for you.
Once you’ve fought them off, you can make your way to Modron’s location. You will first have to go to the river that separates the two parts of Glowecestre and then use the Raven to find Modron’s precise location.
You can find Modron on an elevated mound that lies on the eastern side of the river. This grassy mound can be easily located in the midst of a bunch of houses that are scattered around the southern side of the river bridge.
When you find Modron, talk to her and tell her about what you have just witnessed. In the cutscene that follows, Eivor will also ask Modron for the contents of the Gwilim’s pouch that he collected before.
Modron and her child will then tell you to go meet Halewyn the Druid at which point you will get a new objective on your screen.
Go and meet Halewyn the Druid
After you speak to Modron, your new objective is to find and go to Halewyn’s cottage.
The cottage will be located on the eastern side of Glowecestrescire on a lake that’s in close proximity to the intersection between Great Ouse and Cearrwell rivers. You can find this location in the circle below.
When you reach the location, Druid’s Cottage will show as discovered and you can see the cottage at an elevated platform.
You can knock on the door to speak to Halewyn the Druid but if you may recall your conversation with Modron, Halewyn only speaks to spirits and not mortals. For this, you will have to don your Mari Lwyd mask to trick the Druid to open the door which you can do by cloaking yourself.
After you put on the Mari Lwyd mask, Druid will open the door and speak with you.
Halewyn will now tell you about the ritual he needs to prepare following your arrival and this is when your next objective shows up.
Help Halewyn with his ritual
Your next objective will involve your helping Halewyn with a ritual he has prepared for your arrival. To help him with the ritual, you will need to light up the wicker men with fire.
To do this, press down on the D-pad and select the Torch from the action wheel that appears on your screen.
When you have the torch in your hand, you can light up the wicker men around Halewyn’s cottage by going near them or throwing the torch on them.
There will be a total of five wicker men, all of which you need to light on fire to commence Halewyn’s ritual and complete this objective.
Talk to Halewyn to get a riddle
After you light up each and every single one of the wicker men, you will need to go speak to Halewyn.
When you approach him, he’ll ask you a series of riddles. You won’t get the answers to his question yet but you may find them by examining objects in and around Halewyn’s cottage.
Solve Halewyn’s riddle
To solve Halewyn’s riddle, you will need answers to all of his questions. If you haven’t explored Halewyn’s cottage yet, you can tell him you’ll be back.
Now go back to Halewyn’s house and look for the clues to his riddles. If you don’t wish to explore them on your own, here are where you can find all the clues to Halewyn’s riddle:
Celtic Knot: Drawn on the door to the left side of the entrance
Athame Dagger: Hung on the wall inside the cottage
Threefold Death: Placed on the desk inside the house
Double Spoon: In the locked area underneath the house which you can get to after smashing the trapdoor
Soul Skulls: Found in the shelves on the side of the house by the right side of the entrance
Among the clues mentioned here, you only need to know three of them to solve the riddle.
After you have found all the items and examined them, go back to Halewyn and speak to him. All the answers to his riddles will appear one-by-one when Halewyn asks them.

What happens after you solve Halewyn’s riddle?
When you answer all three questions of the riddle that Halewyn puts in front of you, you will be greeted by a cutscene.
Here, Eivor will ask Halewyn about the contents of Gwilim’s pouch and Halewyn will reveal them to you.
Halewyn says the pouch was filled by him and he gave them to a gentleman who hails from Cudd Lladron.
This is where the “Clues and Riddles” quest ends. When this quest is over, you will have to go visit Rollendritch to speak to Modron again to start the next quest titled “The Stolen King” in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Did the above guide help you get past the “Clues and Riddles” quest in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla?

How To Create Hdr Images In Lightroom (Step By Step)
Many photographers struggle when trying to shoot a scene with lots of contrasting lights and shadows. For instance, a landscape scene with lots of bright sun and shadows might look beautiful in person, but when you try to capture it with your camera, the brights may be too bright or the darks too dark. A solution is to use HDR (or High Dynamic Range) processing.
HDR images are created by merging several photos of different exposures into one. If you’ve ever seen an HDR image, you may have been impressed by the detail the picture shows: both in lighter and darker areas. The shadows aren’t flat, and the brights aren’t blown out. HDR is the happy medium of photography. The best part is that you can edit images using HDR in Lightroom.
What Does HDR Mean In Lightroom?HDR images are created using a process called bracketing. Bracketing combines several photos taken at different exposures into one picture with a more detailed and more accurate display of highlights, mid-tones, and shadows. The process is popular with landscape photographers, as it can be challenging to get details in both shadows and highlights using nothing but natural light.
Landscape photography is also a great fit for HDR processing because the scenes need to be as static as possible. Bracketing places the images on top of each other, so the process requires three or more images that are near replicas of each other except for their exposures. This can be tough if you work with moving subjects like animals or people. You’ll also need a tripod to ensure you get the same exact image every time.
Once you have the images, you can merge them in Lightroom. You can use a few different merge settings to get the final image just right.
How To Merge An HDR Image In Lightroom Step 1: Upload The Bracketed ImagesUpload the images you want to use for the HDR process. Remember, these should be nearly identical except for the exposures; otherwise, the process won’t work well.
Step 2: Select The ImagesYou can also select images from the filmstrip while working in the Library or Develop modules.
Step 3: Merge The Images Step 4: Set Merge SettingsOnce you select to merge your images, the HDR Merge Preview window will open. Wait a few moments for Lightroom to make a preview of the final image — the more photos you select to merge, the longer it will take, so be patient.
Once the preview is created, you’ll see a few settings to the right of the merged image.
The Auto Align setting automatically lines up the photos in case the camera moved a bit between taking the individual images (for example, if you were holding the camera by hand rather than using a tripod).
This box will be checked automatically, and it doesn’t hurt to leave it checked to ensure the most accurate merge. The Auto Settings box will also be checked already. This will automatically make minor adjustments in the tone of the merged photo.
The Deghost setting is also important in the final merged image. Deghost is also useful in case anything unwanted is featured in the photo, particularly if the subject (if there is one) moved slightly between shots. Obviously, even when using a tripod, objects like trees and clouds might still move, resulting in a strange “ghost” effect near those objects. The deghost setting makes Lightroom automatically reduce the ghost effect.
You can select the Deghost strength from the options provided: Low, Medium, or High (or None). The option you choose entirely depends on the bracketed image set you shot and your preferences. Each HDR image will require something different, but in most cases, Medium works well.
Below the Deghost strength settings, you’ll see the Show Deghost Overlay checkbox. Check this to view the areas of the “ghost” effect that Lightroom detects. The ghost effect appears as a translucent red highlight.
The image will appear in the preview. You’ll be able to notice the difference when looking at one of the images before you merged them alongside the merged image.
Before After
How To Refine Your Merged HDR Photos In LightroomOnce you’ve merged the images, there are a few ways you can further refine and enhance the final product. Some photos may benefit from boosting the exposure or contrast, while others may need an adjustment of highlights and shadows or even white balance.
For instance, the HDR process in the below image brought out details in both the darkest and lightest parts of the scene, but we can bring out the shadows on the left side even further to brighten it a bit more.
In addition, because the HDR process can brighten the dark areas up and brings the light areas down, the resulting image is sometimes flattened. We can fix this by increasing the contrast, which will help the image pop.
Before After
Adjusting the develop settings like exposure, contrast, and white balance can easily and quickly improve the HDR image.
Should You Always Use HDR When Editing Photos?Because HDR can bring out so many details in an image, you’d think you should always edit using HDR, right? Actually, no! Whether or not you use HDR depends entirely on the photo you want to edit and whether you’ve planned to create an HDR image.
First, you won’t be able to create an HDR image without multiple bracketed images, and the photos need to be almost exactly the same. So if you haven’t planned to create an HDR image, you probably won’t be able to use this technique.
If you don’t already have a set of bracketed images, don’t worry. In some cases, you won’t even need the HDR process to bring out the details in your photo. Adjusting the Highlights, Shadows, Exposure, and even the Whites and Blacks can help find the right balance for your image. I share how to recover highlights in a photo in this tutorial.
Just make sure you’re always shooting in Raw so that your camera picks up the most information possible when taking the picture. That way, you can recover any lost details in the shadows and highlights, regardless of whether you use this HDR technique or not.

Node.js Tutorial For Beginners: Learn Step By Step In 3 Days
Introduction to Node.js
The modern web application has really come a long way over the years with the introduction of many popular frameworks such as bootstrap, Angular JS, etc. All of these frameworks are based on the popular JavaScript framework.
But when it came to developing server-based applications, there was a kind of void, and this is where chúng tôi came into the picture.
Node.js is also based on the JavaScript framework, but it is used for developing server-based applications. While going through the entire tutorial, we will look into chúng tôi in detail and how we can use it to develop server-based applications.

What is Node.js?Node.js is an open-source, cross-platform runtime environment used for the development of server-side web applications. chúng tôi applications are written in JavaScript and can be run on a wide variety of operating systems.
Node.js is based on an event-driven architecture and a non-blocking Input/Output API that is designed to optimize an application’s throughput and scalability for real-time web applications.
Over a long period of time, the framework available for web development were all based on a stateless model. A stateless model is where the data generated in one session (such as information about user settings and events that occurred) is not maintained for usage in the next session with that user.
A lot of work had to be done to maintain the session information between requests for a user. But with chúng tôi there is finally a way for web applications to have real-time two-way connections, where both the client and server can initiate communication, allowing them to exchange data freely.
Why use Node.js?We will have a look into the real worth of chúng tôi in the coming chapters, but what is it that makes this framework so famous. Over the years, most of the applications were based on a stateless request-response framework. In these sort of applications, it is up to the developer to ensure the right code was put in place to ensure the state of web session was maintained while the user was working with the system.
But with chúng tôi web applications, you can now work in real-time and have a 2-way communication. The state is maintained, and either the client or server can start the communication.
Features of Node.jsLet’s look at some of the key features of Node.js
This is quite different from other programming languages. A simple example of this is given in the code below
var fs = require('fs'); fs.readFile("Sample.txt",function(error,data) { console.log("Reading Data completed"); });
The above code snippet looks at reading a file called chúng tôi In other programming languages, the next line of processing would only happen once the entire file is read.
But in the case of chúng tôi the important fraction of code to notice is the declaration of the function (‘function(error, data)’). This is known as a callback function.
So what happens here is that the file reading operation will start in the background. And other processing can happen simultaneously while the file is being read. Once the file read operation is completed, this anonymous function will be called, and the text “Reading Data completed” will be written to the console log.
Node uses the V8 JavaScript Runtime engine, the one which is used by Google Chrome. Node has a wrapper over the JavaScript engine which makes the runtime engine much faster and hence the processing of requests within Node also become faster.
Handling of concurrent requests – Another key functionality of Node is the ability to handle concurrent connections with a very minimal overhead on a single process.
The chúng tôi library uses JavaScript – This is another important aspect of development in chúng tôi A major part of the development community is already well versed in javascript, and hence, development in chúng tôi becomes easier for a developer who knows javascript.
There is an active and vibrant community for the chúng tôi framework. Because of the active community, there are always keys updates made available to the framework. This helps to keep the framework always up-to-date with the latest trends in web development.
Who uses Node.jsNode.js is used by many large companies. Below is a list of a few of them.
Paypal – A lot of sites within Paypal have also started the transition onto Node.js.
LinkedIn – LinkedIn is using chúng tôi to power their Mobile Servers, which powers the iPhone, Android, and Mobile Web products.
Mozilla has implemented chúng tôi to support browser APIs which has half a billion installs.
eBay hosts their HTTP API service in Node.js
When to Use Node.jsNode.js is best for usage in streaming or event-based real-time applications like
Chat applications
Game servers – Fast and high-performance servers that need to processes thousands of requests at a time, then this is an ideal framework.
Good forcollaborative environment – This is good for environments which manage documents. In a document management environment, you will have multiple people who post their documents and do constant changes by checking out and checking in documents. So chúng tôi is good for these environments because the event loop in chúng tôi can be triggered whenever documents are changed in a document managed environment.
Streaming servers – Another ideal scenario to use Node is for multimedia streaming servers wherein clients have request’s to pull different multimedia contents from this server.
Node.js is good when you need high levels of concurrency but less amount of dedicated CPU time.
Best of all, since chúng tôi is built on javascript, it’s best suited when you build client-side applications which are based on the same javascript framework.
When to not use Node.jsNode.js can be used for a lot of applications with various purposes. The only scenario where it should not be used is where there are long processing times, which is required by the application.
Node is structured to be single-threaded. If an application is required to carry out some long-running calculations in the background, it won’t be able to process any other requests. As discussed above, chúng tôi is used best where processing needs less dedicated CPU time.

After you’ve snatched up the chest atop the tower, go and pay the people who tried to turn you into target practice a visit — Assassin’s Creed Valhalla-style. Directly west-southwest of the tower, you’ll find them huddled around a small camp with your stone. Take it.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 08
Next up, turn east. There will be a large building straight ahead with a doorway closed off by a sheet of gray-green ice/stone. Smash through the wall, head forth until you come across a crack on your right. Enter the chamber and follow the path to a small, ruined window. Aiming your bow through it will light up your hit-marker — release. This will shatter a destructible wall. Exit the chamber through the same crack and continue down the hallway to the chest at the end.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 09
Number nine is right around the corner. After looting Chest 08, turn around, face and pick up the explosive jug. Carry it out into the hallway and go straight — you’ll see a stone door just waiting to be obliterated. Chuck the jug at it and open up the chest on the other side.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 10
The next Ymir’s Tear Stone will have heading you off the coast for a small island southeast of the mainland. Follow the marker until you arrive at one hell of a Viking obstacle course. You’ll have to parkour your way across wires and shipwrecks to the small island where chest number 10 is waiting for you.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 11
Over in the Well of Urdr, you’ll have to dive straight down and look for a brightly lit natural alcove within the wall and swim under it for the first of the two chests there.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 12
The next Ymir’s Tear Stone is deeper inside the cave — work your way back to the start of the cave and follow the marker deeper into the cave until you come to a small cluster of crates and torches. Scaling the wall will lead you to the chest where it sits atop the platform directly above.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 13
Number 13 will take you to the uppermost outcrop of Utengard Chasm hill, from where you’ll have to work your way straight down. That means diving into a haystack and then the pool of water at the very bottom. Before you will be a cave and the start of a reflected-light puzzle. Redirect the three beams of light to their final target to open up an unseen underwater gate. Once you’re done, emerge from the cave, dive in the water, and swim down and to the left to find the next Ymir’s Tear Stone in an underwater chest.

Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 14
For Ymir’s Tear Stone 14, you’ll have to head into the Utengard Chasm proper. You’ll find the chest in the fiery, circular chamber but will have to kill nearby guards until you get the key. Beware that the enemies will be coming in swinging here so get ready to fight.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 15
Head directly north from the previous stone, following the marker to a crack in a nearby wall. Inside you’ll find a sliding puzzle in the form of racks loaded with goods — solve the puzzle to access the chest and be on your way.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 16
The third and final stone in Utengard Chasm can be found by following the marker along the tops of the structure until you reach a pit with a bottom constructed of thin wooden planks. Smash the planks and brace yourself — you’ll take some real damage in the fall. But you’ll have a Ymir’s Tear Stone for your trouble.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 17
An easy one. East-Northeast of Utengard Chasm, the next wealth marker will lead you to a stone face with an obvious wooden platform hanging high above. Scale the wall to the opening in the rock where you’ll find chest number 17 waiting for you.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 18
The next stone is located nearby — follow the marker to a gate set in the earth. You’ll have to work your way around the top and fire an arrow through the window to blast the gate open and loot the chest inside.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 19
For this one, head directly east from the last stone and jump into the river. Track the chest marker to about halfway to the opposite bank and dive unnervingly deep, straight down, to claim the chest.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 20
Heading west back to the mainland, you’ll eventually encounter a Reindeer. Escorting it, and the Reindeer that eventually join up with it will lead you to a reward at the end of the encounter: a Ymir’s Tear Stone.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 21
For this one, simply head to Ivaldi’s Forge and work your way up through the jumping puzzle to open the chest up top.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 22
The second chest is right there in the Forge. Follow the marker from the ground floor around the bend into one of the nearby chambers where you’ll find the chest in the corner.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 23
Tracking the marker north-west will bring you to a series of waterfalls cascading over a series of iron gates. Swim under the structure through a passageway below to access the chamber with the chest.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 24
North-Northeast of Ivaldi’s Forge, you’ll find a doorway beside a lake barred by rubble. Clearing it requires only an explosive jug which can be found nearby amid the flotsam.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 25
South-east of Ivaldi’s Forge, follow the marker until you come across a room full of poisonous gas — you’ll have to run through the gas field and ascend the structure to open up the chest.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 26
The wealth marked on the northeasternmost tip of the island can be found simply by following the marker and ascending the wooden structure jutting from the cliffside.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 27
Just north-east of the forge at the island’s center is a large palatial structure dominated by several large columns. Look for a pair of golden pillars and climb one to ascend to the upper level — turn left and head for the large white pillar at the structure’s edge. Scramble to the topmost level, look for the chord, and zipline to the point that it intersects with another line just below. Aiming carefully, hop onto the lower wire and sprint across to the distant platform where you’ll find yourself a Ymir’s Tear Stone ripe for the plucking.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 28
To get this Ymir’s Tear Stone, you’ll have to dive in the water between the west-southwestern coastline and the central island. Continuing southwest, you’ll come across an underwater passageway that emerges into a cavern with another Archimedean puzzle.
Make sure to open the door on the left, not the right, if you don’t want to throw down with the AC Valhalla’s most anti-social reclusive.
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 29
Ymir’s Tear Stone Location 30
This final Ymir’s Tear Stone can only be obtained after defeating Fenrir. Head to the westernmost island on the Asgard map and follow the marker through an opening in the mountain. Work your way inward until you come upon a boulder — moving it aside will bring you to two cracks. Through the rightmost crack and past the poison gas is the final Ymir’s Tear Stone.
What do you get in exchange for Ymir’s Tear Stones?
Once you have collected Ymir’s Tear Stones in Asgard, you can exchange them for a handful of Skill Points that you can use to improve Eivor’s stats and make him stronger. You will be accredited with 5 Skill Points in return for the 30 Ymir’s Tears Stones you collected across Asgard.
It’s important to note that you will need to collect all 30 of the Ymir’s Tear Stones to be able to receive the Skill Points. What this means is that you can neither sort the most important stones for wealth nor can you partially get the Skill points for collecting only some of the Ymir’s Tear Stones.
How to Use Ymir’s Tear Stones in AC Valhalla
After you have gathered all 30 of the Ymir’s Tear Stones in Asgard, you can exchange them for Skill Points by going to the Offering Altar. The Offering Altar is located on the eastern side of the northernmost island on Asgard.
Once you’re there, Eivor can interact with the statue at which point a cutscene commences. After the cutscene, you can earn 5 Skill Points that you can then use to make Eivor stronger.
Ymir’s Tear Stones: Are they worth it?
It’s now established that the 30 Ymir’s Tear Stones that you can collect in Asgard can be used to obtain Skill Points by visiting the Offering Altar. However, the value of each of these Ymir’s Tear Stones isn’t significant at all as their use is only clear when you have gotten your hands on all of them.
Although the stones are classified as wealthy in locations around Asgard, there’s no immediate value to them at the time when players start collecting them during the gameplay. And keeping in mind that you only get 5 Skill Points after exploring all of Asgard for these stones, their value proposition doesn’t appear to be as attractive as wealth items available at other locations in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
wow i’m kinda bummed out, i did everything is Asgard, searched every 30 Ymir’s tear stone, and i got only 5 skill points. 😂😭
