Some Windows 10 users might be having to trouble recording game clips using Game DVR. The Xbox Support team provides information to help users resolve some Game DVR issues on Windows 10.
Before starting the troubleshooting process, however, check if your PC has the latest version of the Xbox app on Windows 10.
Also, users in the European Union and Korea who are using Windows 10 N or Windows 10 KN must first install the Media Feature Pack for N and KN versions of Windows 10 to carry out the troubleshooting.
Below, you will find a list of several known issues with Game DVR and some solutions we found:
1. Recording a game in full-screen modeUsers won’t see the Game bar in PC games in full-screen mode. This problem can be solved by using the Windows logo key + Alt + R to start and stop recordings. The screen flashes once the recording starts and completes.
You can also record the last 30 seconds (or whatever time you picked) using the Windows logo key + Alt + G, provided you have already turned on background recording.
You can also select Win + G in the event that the shortcuts do not work for a full-screen game. You will then see the screen flash twice, which means the game is recognized.
Then you can run the game in full-screen again and use the Windows logo key + Alt + R and Windows logo key + Alt + G.
2. Game bar and shortcuts not workingDownload and install the latest Windows 10 updates on your PC. Select Settings from the Start menu then go to Update & security, and select Check for updates.
Press the Windows logo key + G to open Game bar when playing a game and you will be asked to open Game bar. Select Yes.
3. Location for game clips and screenshotsExpert tip:
Windows 10 stores your game clips and screenshots in the Videos folder by default, in a folder named Captures. You can also move this to different places on your PC, including elsewhere on your hard drive or to external drives.
4. Fix recording issuesRecording may sometimes work only once or twice. To fix the issue, restart Game DVR:
Close the game.
In the search box on the Windows taskbar, enter Task manager, and then select that desktop app.
In Task Manager, select More details.
In the list of running processes, select the Broadcast DVR server (bcastdvr.exe) process (if it’s still there), and then select End task.
Restart the game and try recording again.
So, if you can’t record your gameplay using Game DVR, maybe you should try using a different software solution for this task. Check out our guide on the best game recording software to use in 2023.
5. Customized shortcuts for Game bar not workingCustom keyboard shortcuts may sometimes not work because some games block keys. Update your apps and games in order to use Game bar with all games.
6. Using the Game bar on your tablet PCAlthough Windows key-based Game bar shortcuts may not work on tablets without an attached physical keyboard, you can create your own shortcuts that make use of keys available on the virtual keyboard.
You can do so by opening the Xbox App and selecting Settings. Then choose Game DVR and enter your preferred keyboard shortcuts.
7. Deleting game memory in Game barThe Game bar will remember a game once you’ve indicated that something is a game by pressing the Windows logo key + G.
On the other hand, if you want to make Game bar forget a game, start the game, open Game bar, select Settings, and uncheck Remember this as a game.
Also, feel free to provide other solutions if you happen to find any.

Security of your home is important, and many people tend to use surveillance cameras in order to protect their home. If you have a security camera for your home, you might be familiar with a tool called iSpy.
This is an open-source video surveillance software that allows you to remotely monitor your cameras.
Although this tool sounds great, some users are having issues with it, and today we’re going to show you how to fix iSpy issues on Windows 10.
How to fix iSpy issues on Windows 10? Fix – iSpy Windows 10 issues Solution 1 – Change the I Frame IntervalAs we already mentioned, this tool allows you to monitor your security cameras remotely, but users reported that the application crashes while monitoring.
To fix the problem, some users are suggesting to change the I Frame Interval to a different value. To do that, open Remote Config window and locate I Frame Interval setting.
There should be two instances available, one in Main Stream and other in Sub Stream.
The default value for I Frame Interval should be 100, but you need to change it to 2. After doing that, save changes and check if the problem is resolved.
Solution 2 – Update to the latest versionUsers reported that iSpy crashes frequently on their PC, and if you have the same problem, you might want to update iSpy to the latest version.
Users reported that installing the latest version of iSpy almost completely fixed the problem with crashing, so be sure that you have the latest version of the software installed.
Solution 3 – Replace your camerasIf iSpy is crashing frequently, it might be due to your cameras. Some cameras aren’t fully compatible with iSpy, and in order to fix this problem you might want to consider replacing your cameras.
Keep in mind that your cameras are fully functional, and they will most likely work with any other surveillance software.
To be sure if your camera is working properly, you can test it using any other similar software.
After replacing the cameras, check if the problem is resolved.
Another workaround that users suggested is to use JPEG snapshots. If the iSpy crashes while watching live video, you might want to switch to JPEG snapshots.
Live video is always better since it provides more information in real time, but if you can’t replace your camera, you can try using JPEG snapshots and check if that fixes the problem.
Solution 4 – Install the older version of iSpyFew users reported that they fixed the problem with crashes simply by installing the older version of iSpy.
Using the latest version is usually the better, but sometimes new version can have new issues and bugs that can cause iSpy to crash.
If that’s the case, simply uninstall iSpy from your PC and download an older version from iSpy’s website. After installing the older version, check if the problem is resolved.
Solution 5 – Disable TitleBar Buttons featureExpert tip:
However, users reported that this method can lead to certain issues. To fix any problems with iSpy and VLC, users are suggesting to disable TitleBar Buttons feature from Settings menu.
After doing that, save changes and check if the problem is resolved.
Solution 6 – Make sure that you have .NET Framework installedMany Windows applications are made using .NET Framework.
There are different versions of .NET Framework available, and if you don’t have the necessary version of .NET Framework installed on your PC, you might encounter problems with certain applications.
One of those applications is iSpy, and if you have any issues with it, be sure to download the necessary .NET Framework along with its updates. After installing the required .NET Framework and updates, check if the problem is resolved.
Solution 7 – Download latest Windows UpdatesWindows 10 isn’t perfect, and sometimes there might be bugs with certain applications or hardware.
Microsoft is working hard to fix any bugs and incompatibility issues with both hardware and software. To fix the problem with software and hardware, it’s always a good practice to install Windows updates.
Windows 10 will automatically check for updates and install them, but you can also check for updates manually. To do that, follow these steps:
Open the Settings app
Go to Update & security section.
If any updates are available they will be downloaded in the background. Once Windows 10 finishes the download, you’ll be asked to install the updates.
After installing the latest updates for Windows 10, check if problems with iSpy are resolved.
Solution 8 – Uninstall VLCAs we already mentioned, many users use iSpy with VLC to view live camera feed remotely, but issues with VLC and iSpy can occur.
According to users, one of their cameras was used in VLC mode, and that caused the problem with iSpy to appear. To fix this issue, you need to change the camera mode from VLC to FFMPEG.
Users also reported that uninstalling VLC player fixed the issue, so be sure to do that as well.
Solution 9 – Delete duplicated camerasiSpy allows you to have multiple live camera feeds available, but few users reported corrupted camera image while using iSpy.
This is a big problem since it can make live camera feed almost unusable due to corruption.
Apparently, this issue occurs if you have duplicated cameras in iSpy. Sometimes it can occur that you create a duplicate of your camera by accident, and that will cause corrupted camera image.
To fix the problem, check for duplicated cameras, and if there are any, be sure to delete them. After doing that, the issue will be completely resolved.
iSpy is a great video surveillance tool, but it has its share of issues. If you have any problems with iSpy on Windows 10, we strongly suggest that you try one of our solutions.

Email clients were popular in the past, but as the Internet develops, many users switched to webmail services since they are more practical.
Eudora used to be a popular email client for macOS and Windows alike. It was launched in 1988 and later acquired by Qualcomm in 1991.
The last commercial version of Eudora was released in 2006. Following several attempts to keep it alive, an open-source version of the client was abandoned in 2010.
Even though Eudora is now an outdated email client, some users don’t want to switch, and they continue using it on Windows 10.
Since the email client hasn’t been updated in years, some issues with Windows 10 are expected, and today we’re going to show you how to fix them.
How can I fix Eudora problems on Windows? 1. Install Eudora to the root directoryMost Windows applications will be installed by default in C:Program Files directory. But it doesn’t work for Eudora.
So if you want to avoid any problems with this email client, we suggest that you install Eudora on a root directory.
So during installation, be sure to change the directory from C:Program Files to C:Eudora and send the application there.
After doing that, most problems with it will be resolved.
2. Try an alternative email clientWe insist on switching to a more modern and reliable email client that’s compatible with your OS. You have a multitude of options, but we recommend you get an email client with integrated productivity features.
Modern email clients can help you open all your emails from all your providers in just one Window. They come with very good search options that help you find emails by using keywords.
Some of them include optical character recognition technologies that allow you to search for images as well. On top of that, you can create a good management system with filtering, tagging, and folders.
Up-to-date email clients will most likely give you fewer issues than Eudora. Not only will you be able to open and manage your emails, but upgraded software have greater security that protects against present-day threats.
3. Move Eudora files and change your registry
First, go to C:Program FilesQualcommEudora
Copy all files from this directory to the following location: C:UsersYour_userAppDataRoamingQualcommEudora
Expert tip:
Then, do the following:
After moving the Eudora files and changing the registry, check if the problem is resolved.
4. Make sure that your browser is set as defaultAfter making the necessary changes, you should be able to open links in Eudora without any problems.
If the issue still persists, you might have to manually copy and open the links as a workaround.
5. Uncheck the Use Microsoft viewer optionIf you have any problems with opening links in Eudora, you might want to try disabling the Use Microsoft viewer option.
To access this option, navigate to Settings / Viewing mail. Simply disable this option and the links will start working.
Then, enable the Use Microsoft viewer option again, and the issue should be resolved completely.
6. Don’t set Eudora as the default email clientUsers reported the following message on their Windows 10 PC after installing Office 365:
Eudora is unable to update the system registry
To fix this problem:
Eudora was a great email client in the 90s, and even though this program works on Windows 10, there are certain issues that can appear, but you can easily solve them by using one of our solutions.
If you don’t manage to solve the problem, you might want to consider switching to a different email client, as suggested in the beginning.
