Suggested March 2024 How To Remove Credit Card Details From Your Amazon Aws Account

If you have setup your Amazon AWS account so that you can play around with Amazon EC2, you will know that one of the step (to setup the account) is to enter your credit card detail. This is a no-brainer, so I won’t go into detail on that, but if you have added multiple credit card information, you will find that there is no way to remove any of your credit card from your Amazon AWS user account. Going to the “Payment Options” will only show all the credit cards information, with no options to remove them.

Here’s how to remove your credit card detail in Amazon AWS.

1. Go to chúng tôi (the main Amazon site where you do your shopping) and login with your Amazon AWS username and password.

3. Here you should be able to delete your credit card detail.

That’s it.

How To Remove A Business Account From Instagram

Did you accidentally switch to a business account on Instagram?

If you did, you might be looking to remove a business account and switch back to a personal one.

A business account has features that a personal account does not have, and vice-versa.

The main pros of a business account are that you’ll have access to insights and the ability to display information about your business.

However, a business account cannot be private.

If you want to make your Instagram account private, you’ll have to switch to a personal account.

On the other hand, if you’re running a business, it’ll make more sense to have a business account.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to remove a business account on Instagram and switch back to a personal one in 3 easy steps (with pictures).

How to remove a business account from Instagram

To remove the business account from Instagram, you need to navigate to your account settings from your profile.

From your account settings, you can switch back to a personal account by selecting “Switch to personal account”.

Once you’ve switched to a personal account, the business account will be removed from Instagram.

On the other hand, if your account is previously a creator account, select “Switch to Creator Account” instead.

Do note that if you switch to a personal or creator account from a business account, you will lose access to your insights.

If you accidentally switched to a business account, switching to a personal or creator account has no impact on your insights.

But if you’ve been using a business account for a while and you constantly check your insights, you should think twice about switching back to a personal/creator account.

Here’s how to remove a business account from Instagram:

Step #1: Go to your settings

To begin with, open Instagram on your device.

Then, tap on the profile icon on the bottom navigation bar.

Once you’re on your profile, tap on the menu in the top-right corner of your profile.

After you’ve tapped on the menu, a navigation drawer will open containing several options.

Tap on the “Settings” option, which is the first option of the navigation drawer.

This will open the settings page.

You’ve successfully navigated to your settings from your profile.

In the next step, you’ll have to navigate to your account settings where you’ll be able to remove the business account and switch back to a personal/creator account.

Step #2: Tap on “Account”

Once you’re on the Settings page, you’ll see multiple options.

There’s the “Follow and invite friends” setting, “Your activity”, “Notifications”, and so on.

“Follow and invite friends” allows you to invite friends via multiple platforms (e.g., WhatsApp, SMS).

“Your activity” displays your link history and your time spent on Instagram, while “Notifications” allows you to edit your notification settings.

On the bottom of the screen, you’ll see an option that says “Account”.

The “Account” option allows you to edit your account settings, which is the setting that you want to navigate to.

Tap on “Account” to go to the account settings page.

You’ve successfully navigated to your account settings.

In the last step, you’ll be able to switch back to a personal/creator account on Instagram from it.

Step #3: Tap on “Switch to personal account”

Once you’re on your account settings, you’ll see multiple options on the screen—Personal information, Saved, Close friends, and more.

The “Personal information” option is where you can provide your personal information such as your email address and phone number.

The “Saved” option allows you to view your saved posts, while the “Close friends” option displays your close friends list.

As you scroll to the bottom of your account settings, you’ll see two other options in blue.

The first option is “Switch to personal account” while the second option is “Switch to Creator Account”.

Tapping on either one of these options will remove the business account.

Tap on “Switch to personal account” to switch your account back to a personal one.

However, if your account is previously a Creator Account, tap on “Switch to Creator Account” to switch your account to a creator one.

Congrats, you’ve successfully removed the business account on Instagram.

What happens if you switch back to a personal account on Instagram?

When you switch back to a personal account from a business account on Instagram, you’ll immediately lose access to a wide range of features.

Here are all the features that you’ll lose access to when you switch back to a personal account from a business account on Instagram:

Follower insights.

Real-time metrics on stories and promotions.

Contact button.

Address and location.

Business category.

However, if you don’t own a business or if you want to make your Instagram account private, it’s best to switch back to a personal account.

This is because a business account cannot be private.

Can I switch from business to personal Instagram?

Yes, you can switch from a business account to a personal one on Instagram.

If you happened to switch to a business account, you can easily switch back to a personal account by tapping on “Switch to personal account”.

If you want to revert the change, you can switch to a business account again by tapping on “Switch to business account”.

Hence, you don’t have to worry about switching your account type as it’s not permanent.

An Instagram business account has many features that a personal account does not.

If you own a business, it’s highly recommended that you get a business account due to its wide range of features.

However, if the account is a personal one, it’s probably not a good idea to switch to a business account especially if you want to keep it private.

Business accounts cannot be private, so if you want to make your Instagram private, you have to remain as a personal account.

If you accidentally switched to a business account, you can remove it by tapping on “Switch to personal account” in your settings.

However, if you don’t mind having a public account, you can’t go wrong with switching to a business account.

How To Remove Microsoft Account From Windows 11 Pc

As of July 2023, you can’t install Windows 11 without a Microsoft account because the upgrade is only available as part of the Windows Insider Program. However, once you have installed Windows 11, you can remove, delete, or de-link your Microsoft account from your PC and use a local account instead. Sure, you will not be able to update to the latest Windows 11 builds and will be unable to access all the cool new features such as Widgets, Android apps support, and more. But you will still be able to use the latest desktop OS, nonetheless. So let’s learn how you can remove a Microsoft account from Windows 11.

Remove Microsoft Account from Windows 11 (2024)

We will show you how to delete your Microsoft Account from any Windows 11 PC in this article. You can do so in several ways, including through Settings, via the Control Panel, and from the User Accounts menu. We will also show you how to create a local account because, without that, Windows won’t let you remove a Microsoft Account from your computer. So without further ado, let’s get started.

Things to Remember Before Removing Your Microsoft Account

Removing a Microsoft Account from Windows 11 is a relatively easy undertaking, as you will see later in this article. However, there are a few things you need to know before embarking on that road. Here they are:

Firstly, if you want to disassociate a Microsoft account from your PC, change your account type instead of removing your Microsoft account from your computer. This process will retain all your files, folders, apps, and settings. Basically, you will be using the same account with the same data but with a changed name. Plus, you will not be able to access some of the associated Microsoft services and features.

Secondly, if you have made up your mind, you will need a local account with Admin privileges to be able to remove your Microsoft account from Windows 11.

Thirdly, removing your Microsoft account will delete all data in that account. We recommend you create a backup if you have important files and don’t want to lose them.

Fourthly, reports suggest that Windows 11 Home might require a Microsoft account for the installation and setup process, even the stable version. If we go by these reports, only the “Pro” version will let you install the OS with a local account.

Finally, removing your Microsoft account from a computer will not delete the actual online account. It can still be accessed via a web browser using your credentials.

While a Microsoft account is currently mandatory to install Windows 11, that will likely change once the OS gets a stable release for all compatible devices. That means you technically won’t need to add a Microsoft account to use Windows 11 (at least the Pro version).

Switch From Microsoft Account to Local Account

You will now have to confirm your identity before you can make the switch. So on the next page, confirm your Microsoft account ID and select “Next“.

Now enter your password for that account and hit OK.

Note: You can leave the password section blank because it is not mandatory. If you don’t want a login password for your local account, simply select your user name and move on.

Create Local Account On Your Windows 11 PC

If a switch from Microsoft account to a local account won’t do, you will need to start the process to remove a Microsoft account from your computer. The first step towards that involves creating a local account with Administrator privileges. To create a local account on your Windows 11 computer, follow the steps below:

Enter your chosen user name under “Who’s going to use this PC?”. Select a password (optional), re-enter it correctly, and hit “Next“. A new local account will immediately be created with your chosen credentials.

Note: As explained earlier, passwords for local accounts are optional, not mandatory. You can leave the password section blank if you don’t want one for your local account.

Change Account Type From Standard User to Administrator

By default, all new accounts are “Standard User” accounts in Windows 11. That means you will have to now change the account type of your new account to “Administrator” manually. Here’s how you do that:

How to Remove a Microsoft Account from Windows 11 Method 1: Remove Microsoft Account Via Settings

If switching over to a local account isn’t enough, and you want to get rid of a Microsoft account from your Windows 11 PC for good, follow the step-by-step guide below:

First off, log in from an Admin account, separate from the Microsoft account you are trying to remove. You can either create a different admin account (local or Microsoft) or uncover the hidden Admin account on your Windows PC.

Method 2: Remove Microsoft Account via Control Panel

Open Control Panel on your Windows 11 PC. To do that, search for “control” (without quotes) in the Windows search bar and select “Control Panel” from the results.

Then, select the “Delete the account” option.

You will now be provided with two options on what Windows should do with your files: “Delete Files” or “Keep Files”. While the first option will delete all the files, the second one will only save some files and not all. Select your preferred option. Irrespective of what you choose, the Microsoft account will be deleted on your Windows 11 PC.

Method 3: Remove Microsoft Account via User Accounts Panel

The third and final way to delete a Microsoft account from your Windows 11 computer is through the User Accounts Panel. Here’s how you go about it:

Open the “Run” dialog box by using the keyboard shortcut Windows key + R. Now, enter “netplwiz” (without quotes) and hit Enter.

Use a Local Account on Your Windows 11 Computer

Tips To Spot Credit Card & ATM Skimmers

Consider the following things when inspecting your ATMs for skimmers. Remember, you have to pay detail attention to spot ATM skimmers, so be vigilant!

ATM Skimmers generally matches the rest of the machine in terms of appearance and color. Anytime you observe a mismatch, understand that it’s likely to be a skimmer.

Observe the bottom panel of the ATM Machine. Does it look different? This may mean that thieves may have put an overlay over the PIN pad to accurately capture the PIN number.

Be attentive while typing the PIN number, if the keys look loose or spongy, go to a different ATM.

Market is full of a new type of skimmers that get fitted easily inside the card reader slot. Criminals purchase them from Dark Web. Watch the video to know how skimmers are placed and extracted from ATM machine.

When you approach an ATM, try wiggling the machine to spot anything unusual. These machines are well-constructed, so anything shouldn’t be jiggling.

Look for the hidden cameras.

Check for any cracks or pinholes around the machine.

Exposed wires, electrical items or cords on or near the machine.

As thieves have to be ‘unobserved’ while installing and collecting back the skimmer after it has collected a number of people’s data, they mostly select those ATMs that are less trafficked. So, try avoiding using those ATMs, and if you do, look for all the above signs that can help you to spot ATM Skimmers.

Tips To Protect Yourself From ATM Skimmers

Until ATM Skimmer detectors are available to the public, certain law enforcement officials suggested these tips to protect yourself from these type of felonies:

The easiest step you can put up to prevent your PIN from stealing is to cover your hand while entering the PIN with your other hand.

Be alert and always pay attention to whether someone’s watching you while you are in the ATM room.

Use a credit card (preferably with chip) instead of debit card.

Keep a check on your accounts regularly.

Set notifications and alerts on your checking accounts and credit cards.

Visit high-traffic ATM to avoid skimming.

Notify your bank when you go overseas. It can help them to verify a transaction if anytime they suspect a suspicious activity in your account.

Fortunately, many banks are becoming better at detecting fraudulent transactions, so may not process any suspicious charges until you verify that.

While there’s no ultimate way to protect yourself from crooks, but these effective measures and tips can certainly help you to be aware of potential threats.

What To Do Next?

If anytime you spot an ATM Skimmer:

Immediately call the cops and don’t use the machine.

If you’ve already, call your banks and ask them to issue you a new card.

Freeze your credit/debit card instantly, this can prevent you from hassles of getting a new card.

Don’t tamper with the credit card skimmer. Because it might be possible that the criminals are nearby waiting to collect information via Bluetooth. (If in case the ATM Skimmer doesn’t transmit the data it gathers)

Find any evidence of fraud? Call 911 immediately!

Apple Card Family: Share Your Apple Card For A Better Credit Score

In August 2023, Apple created a ripple in the credit card industry by introducing the titanium Apple Card. And now, in its 2023 Spring Event, the tech giant did it again by announcing Apple Card Family.

So, what’s the deal with Apple Card Family? Is it a smart move on Apple’s part? Read on to discover all this and more with me.

The idea behind Apple Card Family

Interestingly, Apple CEO started the presentation by mentioning the disparity and lack of clarity in credit scores awarded to two users with the same credit card.

And Apple Card Family is an attempt to resolve the issue. Plus, to reinvent how users can build credit together.

The basic concept is that two people can co-own an Apple Card and share/merge their credit lines. This way, they can improve the credit together and get equal benefits.

Designed to help families achieve a healthier financial goal, it simplifies purchase tracking and expenditure management. And all of that on an iPhone with a single monthly bill.

What does Apple Card Family offer?

With its release, Apple Card attempted to transform the overall credit card experience. Apple managed to simplify everything from the application process to add more privacy and security.

Apple Card Family adds all the more perks to the equation, such as:

Add up to 5 people – Now, you can share your Apple Card account with users who are part of the same Family Sharing group by sharing the Apple Card via Wallet.

Share every aspect – Along with building credit history together, both owners also gain the flexibility of a combined limit and share responsibilities of making payments.

Co-owners transparency – You can also check details of each other’s spending from a single monthly bill.

Parental controls – Add anyone who is 13 years or older as a participant to allow them independent spending. You get insights into their purchases and control their purchase limit.

Combined credit reporting – Whether positive or negative, all account activities will be reported to credit bureaus if the participants have opted for credit reporting.

Apple Card Family offers Daily Cash for all participants

With Apple Card Family, co-owners and participants will earn up to 3% Daily Cash for every Apple Card purchase. For more clarity, see the below breakdown.

When Apple Card is used with Apple Pay – unlimited 2% Daily Cash

When a purchase is made directly with Apple – unlimited 3% Daily Cash

As the name suggests, Daily Cash is added to users’ Apple Cash card every day and can be used right away.

Managing Apple Card Family

You can manage your Apple Card Family using the wallet app on your iOS device. Thus, it is essential for the (co)owners to own an Apple device running the latest iOS supporting the card.

The smart family sharing plan will be available in the US from May. And existing Apple Card customers can merge their accounts, allowing them an even higher shared credit limit while keeping the lower APR.

The card is issued in association with Goldman Sachs, which has the right to make all eligibility and credit-related decisions.

Note: Anyone who is 18 years or older can be eligible as a co-owner and opt for credit reporting. As for users, who are 13 years or older can become participants.

Is Apple Card Family the next best thing?

While I am not a financial expert, the idea seems intriguing. I could surely see the obvious positives that Apple has pointed out.

But would they pan out as smoothly as Apple’s presentation about them or will it meet some potential pitfalls? Well, only time can tell, and all we can do is wait and watch.
