Discussing the Lenovo ThinkPad X13s price, release date, and more

The ThinkPad X13s has caught the interest of laptop enthusiasts the world over. Officially announced at the Mobile World Congress 2023, the Lenovo ThinkPad X13s is an ultra-thin general productivity laptop, with a superbly long battery life and the first ever 5nm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 CPU. Read on for information on the ThinkPad X13s release date, price, and more.

The Thinkpad X13s release date is sometime in May 2023 in US markets at least, though we’re still waiting to hear about a specific date from Lenovo, or when other regions can get their hands on it.

Camera & connectivity: The ultra-fast 5G support will mean greater connectivity, upload and download speeds whilst on the move, and the improved camera now has a 5-megapixel sensor with InfraRed technology.

What is Snapdragon?

Snapdragon is a line of CPUs created by Qualcomm Technologies that have up until now been primarily used to run smartphones, particularly Android mobile phones. As you’d expect from smartphone technology, the Snapdragon architecture is designed to maximize the efficiency of power usage. In recent years, Snapdragon processors have been used in ultra-thin laptops, notebooks, and tablets where battery life and portability are paramount, and the Thinkpad X13s is the latest model. Indeed the Thinkpad X13s is the first to use the most powerful CPU of the range yet: the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3.

Qualcomm Snapdragon vs M1 Apple

Most computers developed over the last several years, both desktop and laptop devices, are built around x86 CPU architecture. The introduction of Apple’s M1 architecture stirred things up a bit, and has become the technology to beat in mobile CPU technology. M1 systems offer great power and size efficiency for laptop devices, and this is what Snapdragon machines like the Thinkpad X13s will be compared against.

Previously, Snapdragon devices haven’t managed to compete with the lower-powered Apple A1 processors (used exclusively in phones) never mind the M1 chips. We’re looking forward to seeing whether Qualcomm will try and match up to the different SKUs of the M1 series (M1, M1 Pro, and M1 Max from least to most powerful), though currently, it seems like they’re just going for the lower-range models.

NHL 23: Cover Athletes

This year for the first time ever, EA Sports decided to have Canadian professional hockey and Women’s National Team player Sarah Nurse join Anaheim Ducks sensation Trevor Zegras on the front cover, making her the first woman to be on an EA Sports NHL game cover. Here’s what Nurse had to say per EA Sports’ NHL press release:

“It is such a tremendous honor to be the first woman on the cover of the EA SPORTS NHL Franchise,” said Sarah Nurse of Team Canada. “Hockey is really for everybody and I’m excited that NHL 23 is celebrating the diversity and inclusivity of the sport. I hope that the increased representation of women in such a prominent game will inspire young girls everywhere to know that there is a place for them in hockey.”

NHL 23: New Features In HUT

If you like Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT), you’ll really like what they chose to do with it this year. In historic fashion, IIHF Women’s National Team members will now be able to play alongside men in a HUT lineup, granting fans the chance to assemble their dream team no matter the gender.

Following NHL 22, NHL 23 is sticking with continuing the importance of national teams players in their latest installment, who will have both the base and master items incorporated in the game.

To add to their tweaks to HUT, NHL 23 will also allow fans to compete in a variety of revolving game themes in HUT Rivals. And along with it, NHL 23 will be granting three additional tiers of Hut Rivals Rewards based on the wins or win streaks players achieve.

Lastly, content migration will be available for those looking to upgrade their consoles. So for example, if you start playing the game first on a PS4 or Xbox One, you will be able to complete a smooth transfer of your HUT Team value and progress to your new corresponding next-gen console, be it the PS5 or Xbox Series X.

Nvidia Geforce Gtx 580M Release Date Leaked

Santec, an Italian custom notebook manufacturer, has just updated the configuration options list of one of its flagship laptop designs in order to feature Nvidia’s GTX 580M graphics core, which isn’t expected to become official until June 22. The system in question is called the Santec N67 and users have the option of configuring it with Intel second-generation Core i7 quad-core processors ranging from the 2.2GHz 2720QM to the 2.5GHz 2920XM Extreme Edition. These can be paired together with up to 16GB of DDR3-1333 or DDR3-1600 system memory as well as with a 750GB hard drive spinning at 7200RPM or with a 300GB solid state drive. While these are indeed some very nice components to have on a high-end notebook, the most important addition brought by Santac to the N67 is the inclusion of Nvidia’s yet-unreleased GTX 580M graphics card. Technical characteristics were kept to a minimum, so there isn’t that much information available about the GTX 580M, but we do know that the GPU can be paired together with 2GB of GDDR5 memory and that it will most probably feature a 100W TDP. Just as all Nvidia’s high-end mobile graphics cards, the GTX 580M will also feature a 256-bit memory bus and supports the PhysX and CUDA technologies. The Santec N67 notebooks can already be configured on the company’s website, but it won’t start shipping until June 22, which could indicate this is the date chosen by Nvidia for the launch of this new flagship mobile GPU. The GeForce GTX 580M was designed to replace the GTX 485M, which was launched in January of this year and is based on the GF104 core. The GF104 is also used in the desktop GTX 560 Ti graphics card and it packs no less than 384 stream processors, 64 texture units, 32 ROP units as well as a 256-bit wide memory bus.

What’s the Fallout 76 The Pitt release time?

Fallout 76: The Pitt is coming, but when is the Fallout 76 The Pitt release time?

Fallout 76 has been dragging itself back from the pit since the botched launch in 2023.

BUY NOW: Alienware PC

The Pitt is the latest update to try and win back some of the playerbase.

What do we know about the game? What’s included in the expansion? We take a look.

What is the Fallout 76: The Pitt Release Time?

Fallout 76 The Pitt is launching at the following times on 13 September 2023:

10 AM – 12 PM ET

7 – 9 AM PT

2 – 4 PM UTC

3 – 5 PM BST

4 – 6 PM CEST

Or rather, these are the times that the game goes offline for maintenance. During this maintenance, The Pitt update will be installed onto the server-side of Fallout 76. Usually, you won’t have to update the game on your PC or console, but it may be necessary if they’ve changed anything on the player side.

It’s not clear how long the game will be down, but maintenance in the past has lasted for up to 2 hours, so adjust your expectations accordingly.

What is the Fallout 76 The Pitt New Content?

Fallout 76 The Pitt will add a lot of new content to the game. So far, we know about:

Season 10: City Of Steel

Two New Missions Introducing Expeditions, Centered In Union Dues and From Ashes To Fire

A Convert Of The Whitespring Resort into two new sections.

A new currency, stamps

New fast travel locations

Extra supplies for new players

City of Steel is the name for the latest ‘Season’ of Fallout 76. This means the online scoreboard is reset, and people will be competing for a slew of brand-new rewards. One of the most significant rewards is the AUto-Axe, making its Fallout 76 debut as a craftable recipe you can unlock on the scoreboard.

It seems like Bethesda is trying its hardest to add enough content to keep players going until the Holiday update launches towards the end of 2023.

What Are Expeditions?

Expeditions are being added with this expansion and will be story-driven missions that are also repeatable. It’ll add infinite replayability to the game, meaning that you can get brand new rewards, talk to new NPCs to get these quests and make the entire world a lot more alive for players.

Fallout 76 was lambasted at launch for having a lack of content and for being broken, so it’s good to see that even years later, Bethesda is dedicated to adding more missions, rewards, and content for the game itself. This isn’t the first content update that the game has seen, and it certainly won’t be the last.

Fallout 76 2023 Roadmap

The 2023 Roadmap for Fallout 76, which you can see above, reveals that the Expeditions: The Pitt update will mark the third of four updates hitting the game in 2023.

We already received Invaders from Beyond on March 1st and Test Your Metal on June 14th. These updates saw significant content added to the game, including many public events to spice up the struggle of the day-to-day wasteland.

The year’s final update, Nuke-World on Tour, will be adding another round of new content, this time themed around the titular theme park. Nuka-World is a parody cross between Disney World and Coca-Cola featured in DLC for Fallout 4.

AOC AGON AG274QZM: release date, specs, price & more

AOC adds another high-performance Mini-LED monitor to its ranks

While AOC has already announced a slew of high-performance gaming monitors this year, they don’t seem to be showing any signs of slowing down. Another high-end gaming monitor has been added to the ever-expanding AGON family, this time equipped with an impressive 27-inch 1440p 240Hz mini-LED panel.

The new AGON AG274QZM was announced recently, with an official release date of June 2023. It will deliver excellent gaming performance thanks to a plethora of tailored specifications that include a 1ms GTG response time. Thanks to mini-LED backlight technology, the AG274QZM will also offer stunning HDR performance that has been VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified.

If you like the idea of the AG274QGM but don’t have the performance power to dive 300Hz at 1440p resolution, the AG74QZM could be the one for you.

You won’t have to wait too long if you are interested in the AOC AG274QZM release date, with AOC announcing an official release date of June 2023. That said, the press release was a little vague, with no actual indication of regional launch dates.

When this has happened in the past, however, it normally indicates a global launch date. Regardless, we won’t have to wait too long to get our hands on this exciting new gaming monitor.

AOC AG274QZM design

As far as design goes, the AOC AG274QZM looks relatively similar to the other monitors within the AGON family. It features a predominantly black design with slender bezels on the top and sides. The bottom bezel features an AOC logo alongside some of the monitor’s VRR functionality.

A large V-shaped stand can be seen protruding from the underside of the monitor, equipped with a logo projection system that illuminates your desk with the AGON logo. The materials of the stand and the body of the monitor are mainly unknown at this stage, however, at this price, you’d expect decent materials to be used throughout.

Next

Moving to the rear of the monitor and we’re welcomed by a familiar story. The stand takes on a classic red-on-black color theme, with the rear of the monitor featuring a garish design that definitely leans more towards the gamer, than the office user. A handle can be found at the top of the monitor alongside some more AGON branding.

AOC has also utilized detachable flappy panels on the AG274QZM, allowing competitive gamers to become more immersed when it matters most.

AOC AGON AG274QZM price

The AGON AG274QZM will retail for £999.99, making it one of the market’s most expensive 1440p monitors – if not the most expensive. Of course, the majority of that is made up thanks to its speedy 240Hz refresh rate and mini-LED backlight technology.

It’ll be interesting to see just how popular mini-LED monitors are, especially when you consider just how expensive they list for.

Should you buy the AOG AG274QZM when it releases?

The AOC AGON AG274QZM seems to be a great choice for gamers who are looking to increase visual fidelity and general smoothness. The new AG274QZM looks set to deliver on all fronts, offering a nice blend of speed, response, and color.

However, at a shade under £1,000, it is one of the market’s most expensive panels. That said, there’s no denying the stunning HDR and color accuracy this monitor brings to the table. If you’re looking for a high refresh rate monitor that performs well in all types of games, the AG274QZM could be exactly what you’re looking for.

Oneplus 10R Lite Release Date, Price And Specs Rumours

Now, rumours suggest that there could be a new mid-range effort on the way, as the company prepares to release the OnePlus 10R Lite. Here’s all we know so far.

When will the OnePlus 10R Lite be released?

There’s been no official word from OnePlus about any potential new device, but one has been spotted on a Chinese certification site, as reported by NotebookCheck, that seems similar to the OnePlus 10R that recently launched, but with lower specs.

This had led to speculation that it could be the mid-range OnePlus 10R Lite. We really don’t know when it will come out, but if it’s going through certification, it hopefully won’t be that far away.

How much will the OnePlus 10R Lite cost?

Again, the price is only speculative at the moment, but looking at the current catalogue of OnePlus devices should give us some kind of indication where it might be positioned. The OnePlus 10R has just been released in India (in China it’s called the OnePlus Ace) and has the following options:

OnePlus 10R

8GB+128GB: ₹38,999 (approx. $510/£410/€485)

12GB+256GB+80W+5000mAh: ₹42,999 (approx. $560/£450/€535)

12GB+256GB+150W+4500mAh: ₹43,999 (approx. $575/£460/€545)

Obviously, a light version of this will come with a lower price tag, but OnePlus won’t want to cannibalise sales of its more budget-friendly devices such as the expected Nord 2T and Nord 3 models that should be priced closely to the models they replace. Here’s the current Nord 2 5G prices as a guide:

Nord 2 5G

6GB RAM + 128GB storage: ₹27,999

8GB RAM + 128GB storage: £399/€399/₹29,999/$529

12GB RAM + 256GB storage: £469/€499/₹34,999/$629

Yes, this is getting a little complicated, as there isn’t much room between the two devices.  To boil it down, we would be surprised to see the OnePlus 10R Lite appear around the £379/$469/€449 mark, with maybe a drop in price for the Nord models or possibly a dividing up of key features to differentiate between them. But to be honest, the OnePlus pricing structure is somewhat confusing at the moment, so those figures could easily be higher.

What specs and features will we see in the OnePlus 10R Lite?

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Chinese certification site, Tenaa, revealed quite a few of the specs we might see, as well as posting several images of the device thought to be the OnePlus 10R Lite. Here’s what it discovered:

6.59in IPS LCD display with a 2412 x 1080 resolution (20:9 aspect ratio)

MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset

8/12GB of memory

128/256GB of storage

64Mp main camera

8Mp ultrawide

2Mp macro

16Mp front-facing camera

4890mAh battery with support for 65W charging

For a comparison, here’s the spec sheet for the recently launched OnePlus 10R:

6.7in 120Hz Full HD+ AMOLED display

MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max chipset

Stainless steel + copper vapour chamber cooling

8/12GB RAM (LPDDR5)

128/256GB storage (UFS 3.1)

50Mp main f/1.8 Sony IMX766 sensor w/ OIS

8Mp 119° ultrawide

2Mp 4cm macro

16Mp front-facing camera

Stereo speakers

5G

4500/5000mAh battery

80/150W wired charging

As you can see, the 10R is a little beefier in its components, but if the reports on the OnePlus 10R Lite are correct, it should be a very decent offering in the lower mid-range space. We’ll keep updating this article as more details become available, so check back to see what we uncover. In the meantime, take a look at our guide to the best OnePlus phones to see what else the company has to offer as well as the best mid-range phone deals.
